The space had been functioning as a store and needed to be remodeled into a more luxurious delicatessen. The existing stone tiles weren't aesthetically pleasing but the condition was not to move or damage them in any way, so we had to come up with a creative solution.

First, a sheeting was placed as a protective layer, topped with two layers of boards as preparation for the final covering – sheet vinyl flooring. The result is a visually uninterrupted floor that can be removed or replaced one day if needed. Fruits and vegetables were placed on connected counters and the tiles were installed on-site. Specially designed words signaling the functional units of the shop; meat, deli meats, cheese, bread, fruit, vegetables. Nearly everything in the store was custom-made. The outcome is a unique and recognizable/iconic space where a shopper will spend much more time than in your regular butcher shop.
